“We had a great time and enjoyed the pool but a few things need attention to make it worth the price.”
The pool and yard area were lovely, the water was warm. We were delighted to have fruit trees on the property - fresh lemons! The house was the perfect size for our party of 8 with a good layout. Air conditioning in the bedrooms was great. The location was good - it was nice to be away from the city and crowds, but close enough to stores and restaurants and not too far from Malaga and some nice beaches. The furnishings were nice and the beds were comfortable. The blackout blinds were very helpful to keep the house cool and to allow for late rising :)
We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the living room furniture and the rugs throughout - the couch in the living room was grubby and the carpets needed a thorough cleaning. Small ants showed up in the kitchen toward the end of our stay, though we tried hard to keep food put away and the kitchen tidy. The pool was a bit dirty when we arrived but a crew showed up mid-week and cleaned it. We were also disappointed there is no barbecue - a must in the Spanish summer heat. The griddle that was provided did not really suffice. The next door neighbour's dog barked endlessly for several nights. This is absolutely not the fault of our host, but it was very irritating and made for some tired days. A few other items that were not show-stoppers but kind of annoying: It would have been nice to have been provided some basic condiments so we didn't have to buy things like salt and pepper and oil. There were not enough dishwasher tabs to last through the week. Kitchen knives were not very sharp. The water pressure and temperature moderation in the showers was poor, even if only one shower was running at a time. One bedroom did not have a dresser nor a closet, which is annoying because it meant tripping over suitcases all week. The artificial grass was very hot on bare feet!
