Villa Mar Azul

Great location in easy reach of beach (please note many steps though as quite usual for Menorca). Very clean and well maintained. Good size rooms. We would highly recommend booking this accommodation.

We decided to stay here at the start of the season as we were aware that within a few weeks the area would be busy. There was everything that you need in the villa and it was spotlessly clean. On arrival there was coffee and tea with cream for 2 people which was much appreciated after a long journey. As we only stayed for 5 nights the washing machine was a bonus which meant we did not have to bring to many changes of clothes. There was good pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. Even though it was the start of the season it was nice and warm and I was able to have a swim in the pool. There is a small supermarket and gift shop across the road 4 minutes walk. The hosts were very quick to respond to any questions. The villa is across the road from the beach so although you have a pool you get the best of both. There is a coffee machine but I prefer instant coffee and although it was not an issue boiling water, a kettle would have been more convenient. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay and would suit a couple or a family. We tried the local Chinese takeaway, about 6 minutes walk away, and I must admit it was the best Chinese meal I have ever had and went back for a second time. The prices of drinks and meals are about the same as the UK unless you are drinking the local beer or wine. I would defiantly recommend this villa as you are local to what you need and it was a pleasant and comfortable stay. There is a bus stop just across the road if you want to travel further and do not want to drive. Overall I would go back here for another stay.
