Villa Marisol Calpe

The Villa has great potential but seems very worn down and is lacking in several areas. Firstly, the villa had not been cleaned completely upon arrival, some areas such as the outdoor patio and parts of the upper floor living area had not been cleaned properly or not at all (tons of sand and grime on the patio and patio furniture). Most of the mosquito nettings in the windows were ripped or peeling off, some bedrooms did not have any mosquito netting at all. The kitchen was lacking utensils such as usable knifes or bread knifes, the provided cooking implements were worn out and grimy to a point where it was impossible to get them cleaned. The downstairs bathroom (intended to serve up to 6 people) had only two towel hooks and no shelves around the shower area. Additionally the shower does not have a shower tub and only very short glass panels, so its very difficult to avoid flooding the bathroom. There are no bath mats provided for any of the bathrooms. We only got one set of keys for a party of 8, it would be extremely useful to have a key safe available, we had to hide the keys in a nearby field every day.
