Location, location, location Plenty of space, large rooms, modern bathrooms and kitchen Outdoor dining and quality sun loungers with thick cushions Huge windows with view to die for. Comfy multiple sofas Nice bed linens which smelt good. Thank you Carlos.

“Beautiful Villa in a wonderful tranquil coastal location.”
The best

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mela. It is in a beautiful and tranquil location several steps from La Honda beach. The Villa is extremely comfortable with large living / dining room, good size bedrooms and modern roomy bathrooms. The sea and beach views from the Villa are stunning. The terrace is wonderful and on breezy days you are sheltered to sit and watch the world go by on the beautiful promenade. The beach is gorgeous and everywhere so clean in the area. Fantastic restaurants all in walking distance. Eurospar for groceries also in walking distance. My 83 year old Mum found everything on the one level very easy and manageable to navigate. Communications with host, Carlos were very efficient. We would definitely stay again in this fantastic location and wonderful house. Thank you Carlos.

While the kitchen facilities are excellent and modern the kitchen could do with a little bit of an upgrade. The sunbed mattresses could also do with an upgrade. Instructions for the top loading washing machine would be very helpful. We unknowingly failed to shut the internal drum before closing the lid and our clothes got locked in overnight. Not a huge issue but panic of having no undies could have been avoided!! Carlos said he would send a tradesman but we would need to pay, simple instructions would have avoided this blip. In the end we managed to open the drum.

Bit close to the airport, but it did not bother us, kids even enjoyed, but if you are sensitive to the noise it can be unpleasant

Great beach front location. Access to restaurants, walking, beach, grocery and close to the highway and airport

To be improved

The property wasn’t perfectly clean to our standards but was clearly lived and had a lot of beach toys, amenities. Lots of sand does blow in from the beach and the airport is very noisy. Overall a good location and nice spot. Just be aware of the sand and airplane noise.
