Villa Mermaid

Lovely large villa in a great location with a wonderful view. Four good-sized double bedrooms.

The villa was a lovely, stylish & spacious property, with high ceilings and full of light and with many amenities. The floor to ceiling windows in the living room & 3 of the bedrooms, added to the mediterranean feel, allowing the sunshine to flood through each room. We often sat out on the veranda, next to the kitchen, for breakfast and to watch the sunset in the evenings. It was most relaxing. All of the beds are very comfortable, the mattresses are not too hard or soft, just right. There is one bath and shower in the main bedroom plus two other showers, one on the ground floor plus another on the same level as the pool. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering if you wish & a full size fridge freezer for drinks & food. The swimming pool was a good size for the children to splash around in and for the adults to do the same & have a swim. The shower close to the pool is fabulous and spacious. The fridge there was also great for storing drinks. As everyone mentions, the roads are steep. We usually walked down to the shops or to Siam Mall or the beach and Aqualand (all fairly close by) and used taxis for the return journeys. We hired a car for a few days and it was bliss for our feet, lol.

The view and scenery around the property

Property was lovely and roomy with a lovely view. The pool was cold so requested the heating to be turned on at an extra cost although it didn’t make much difference (we visited in April). Very clean with no sign of ants or roaches anywhere in sight. Even after dropping a few crumbs they didn’t appear. All towels were provided which was great as no pool towels were needed. Although the location is at the top of the hill it only took 10 minutes to walk into town. Once we got our bearings, we found a much quicker route done past the toby jug pub. I hired a mobility scooter for the last 2 days which was great as the parking in town can be a nightmare. Victor was on hand quickly when requested to sort out a few minor issues.
