Villa Parra

A lovely villa situated in a secluded position and yet close enough to supermarkets and beaches - so a great location. The hosts Lola and Jamie were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. An amazing place to chill and enjoy the pool and some much treasured family time.

The garden and property was exceptional, location for our needs was as required.

Nice property with two big issues: the hot water tank is not sufficient for even the three of us - if one person showers there is not enough water for a second to shower straight away or they run out of hot water. We had to wait 30 mins between showers to ensure there was enough. So three people showering would take an hour. This property is big enough for 6 people.... Secondly, you can't use too much electricity at the same time or the power shorts out. He said 5kw, but I don't believe that. One ring on the stove and one heater/AC unit were being used and it tripped out. This happened pretty much every evening. Other more minor things but still poor - tennis court but no racquets or balls, only one dishwasher tablet supplied, only two loo rolls supplied - more of these would be much more appreciated and useful than a bottle of cider.

The owners Lola and her husband, met us and were both charming and delightful hosts. The descriptions on Booking.com are accurate as are the photographs. We enjoyed the facilities and sense of space both inside and out, even in January. Like all Mediterranean homes it is geared for hot summers but there is plenty of heating here for winter including a log burning fireplace (and lots of wood), reverse cycle air and infra red heaters in the bathrooms. Security gates and lots of parking were a bonus. Just a few minutes drive to Benissa for supermarkets and shops, 20 minutes or so to Moraira and the coast.

I stayed in villa Parra for 10 days and I liked everything, the villa is outstanding, beautifully done in every aspect, inside and outside, the peace of the location, it was you and the nature around you, the birds, the beautiful trees and ponds and of course the pool. But also the owner are very friendly, Lola was a joy to talk to and very enthusiastic and lovely.
