“Passable”
We would like to share our holiday experience staying at 138a Ponent Villa in Addaya. On our second day at the villa we reported that 2 of the sun lounges around the pool were broken. We were told that they were surprised that the cleaner had not reported this and could we send a picture of both of them which we did, on the 3rd day we were asked if we wanted these replaced. We replied that we would want them replaced as there were 4 of us staying which had meant that only 2 of us could be on the sun loungers around the pool. We also reported that one of the garden/patio chairs arms was broken. There was no gas in either of the gas bottles for the cooker or the outside BBQ. Also we were very disappointed that on the details of the villa it says it has air conditioning. This should be re worded that the only air conditioning is in one of the bedrooms and not the rest of the villa. On the 4th day of our stay we found several cockroaches in the downstairs toilet, hallway and kitchen. On contacting the Villa company we were told we should be moved and the property treated for this problem as it was a health concern. The only property that was available for us to move too was in Son Bou, the other side of the island. We asked several times if there was no other properties nearer to Addaya and was told there was not. Having no choice we moved very quickly packing up our luggage and the fridge contents. We drove to the offered villa and were told it was a good offer as it slept 10 people with a pool. We commented several times it was not where we wanted to be, as our family live in Addaya and our extended family were also staying there as our nephew was celebrating his 50th birthday. The position of the new accommodation also meant we had to pay more money for petrol going to areas around Addaya which had been organised for the birthday celebrations. The second villa was disappointing in that the ensuite shower room had a rusty radiator on the shower wall
