“Fabulous villa”
The best

We were a group of 8 and our ages ranged from a baby to a pensioner and this villa was perfect for us all. The rooms were large and air conditioned. There was plenty for the teenagers to do in the pool and the games room. The beach was a 10 min walk away and there were 2 lovely restaurants nearby. We all had a fabulous time and plan to go back.

To be improved

The sun loungers were very worn and uncomfortable but apart from that everything was perfect

“Lovely house but zero home comforts”
The best

The location is beautiful, with breathtaking views of the ocean and the mountains. The pool was spacious, and the outdoor kitchen area made it extra special. There was enough sun and shade on the large patio that everyone could sit outside comfortably, whether sunbathing or relaxing in the shade. The downstairs games room was big enough for a family to spend the evening, and my kids really loved playing table tennis and pool. The bedrooms were large and comfortable with ample space for clothes. There was a local shop with reasonably priced trinkets, souvenirs, and necessities. The restaurant at the top of the steps on the beach, (Mesonera) we know is delicious, we've eaten there many times over the years, and would have again, had it opened for the season but, sadly, that wasn't the case for our Easter break. The house is lovely and could be something very special with a bit of tlc.

To be improved

Unfortunately, the pool, being so big, and our stay being early April meant the water was very cold. None of the outdoor loungers had cushions so they were quite uncomfortable and the outside clothes line was in the shade throughout the day, so even when we managed figure out how to use the very old and temperamental washing machine (that didn't fill with enough water and didn't get the clothes clean) we had to use the backs of the chairs for hanging dry when after a day on the line, they were still wet. The first problem we encountered was that there was NO hand soap at all in any of the bathrooms, not even tiny hotel type ones, so after a long day of travelling, you must go out buy your own. Also, there was only one bin bag, no dishwasher, washing machine, or washing up soap. So it was very wasteful as we had to buy all that. There were only towels in the upstairs bedrooms, but we were given extra when we let the local contact know. Although we did mention the soap, we were told it went against their hygiene practices to provide soap, which seems strange. The kitchen was small, and the oven had no racks in it, so it made for a very difficult meal in. The dining chairs were old and had no cushions, and some had holes in so quite uncomfortable. The couches were old and dirty but comfortable, although the couches in the games room had old beer cans stuffed down the sides, so clearly not cleaned at all. The WiFi was really bad, and I had to put my mobile hotspot on for my kids the whole time. The showers leaked like crazy but there wasn't a single bathmat in the house, so it felt quite dangerous getting in and out. The upstairs family bathroom was particularly bad; bizarrely, the nozzle points directly at the doors. There were a few things out of use, with signs up saying not to use the fireplace, an ambiguous sign saying not to touch the outdoor pizza oven, and the jacuzzi jets being out of order.
