Villa Santos

Paid for villa and booked flights then they upped the price by €500 euros. Booking.com did offer refund or replacement but flights were booked and no larger villas available for those exact dates, so we had to pay the difference. Had we not booked flights we would have cancelled. WiFi didn’t work and when we asked where it was, it was locked in a cupboard and they wouldn’t open it so signal was rubbish. Asked if there was a safe they bought us one in a carrier bag and asked for extra €50 euros which we didn’t agree to, so they took it away, again in the bag so wasn’t really a safe place to store money or passports if easily transported in a carrier bag it needs fixing to a permanent surface. Outside bathroom wasn’t nice had a public toilet smell, we did try keeping door open but didn’t really help, so no one used it. Villa had 4 bedrooms one en-suite and one bathroom inside. 9 people could stay there but was always a queue for toilet/bathroom so others had to use the en-suite as well which could be difficult at times. The steps in the grounds of the villa are quite steep most of us were ok but my mum struggled a bit maybe just needs to say in details not suitable for walking difficulties and be aware if you have toddlers.

Do not expect any privacy, there is room on top of the house you can’t have acces to. We caught the so called gardening man looking at us in the pool at 11:30pm from the roof of the house. He also used our charger inside the house while we were sleeping. We saw him around or coming out of the house nearly every day, while the host told us he would only come every couple of days for the pool and the garden. The host denied everything.
