“A wonderful holiday in El Acebuchal.”
Met by host and shown way to house. Would have been tricky otherwise. Thanks! A super summer holiday accompanied by a cicada soundtrack. This is a true hidden gem. We enjoyed our stay in El Acebuchal immensely. The Lost Village has a remarkable history and location. We explored as much as the hear allowed. Best to go walking earlier before the sun gets too high in the sky. The pool is a bonus and we spent a huge amount of time in the pool or on the poolside. The location on the edge of the village ensures you are secluded. We loved the feeling of being away from everything. Pool and house were very clean. Beautiful accommodation with lovely touches. Make sure you are organised and hire a decent car as the road in and out is steeper than we were expecting. No shops in near vicinity so you wil need to drive to get supplies. Not a problem as long as you're organised. Bottled water is a must for drinking. We couldn't eat on the beautiful terraces due to the wasps. More because the kids struggled to cope with the buzzing. If you're brave, then not a problem. Lots of wildlife to enjoy around the house and garden. We did play cards outside in the evening when wasps were less vociferous so lots of opportunities to enjoy all the aspects of this stunning house. Lots of walks around, we climbed El Fuerte and looked out on the amazing views. Worth the hike in the heat. Take plenty of water when you go walking. Lorena is a great host. Good and quick communication. Nothing was a problem. Thanks for having us. We all loved our sunny holiday in Spain, during the Euros, and are now back in not so sunny Scotland. A great, relaxing and invigorating holiday.
