Villas Blancas

Nothing major to dislike, due to the breeze a lot of bits get blown from the trees so feel the pool needs to be cleaned at least every other day. We had some issues with the electrics tripping for about 2 days, but couldn't pinpoint the problem.

The 2 sofas in the living area didn"t provide enough comfortable seating for 6 adults and 2 children. There were 2 extra rattan chairs, but they weren't comfortable enough to spend the evening on. Salt, pepper, and oil would have been nice in the kitchen, especially as it was well equipped otherwise, and we used it a lot. Some additional planting by the exterior walls would provide more privacy around the pool and act as a windbreak.

The information on Booking is inaccurate. We were able to communicate via in app messaging service and responses were prompt ahead of the holiday BUT on day of arrival we really struggled to get hold of the host service (called 2 numbers and both said we werent booked with them, called a third number provided by calls 1 and 2 and there was no answer). We were only calling to try and check in early / drop our bags at least - so despite not getting hold of anyone, we headed out to the property location anyway as we didn't really have any other option. The address and location pin took our taxi to the wrong place, fortunately the taxi driver was knowledgeable about the area and spoke English so after showing him the photos and name of the villa, he took us to the correct complex (the taxi was complimentary via booking . com). The gate code provided worked for the main complex without issue but when we got passed the gates, it wasn't easy to establish where to go to find the actual villa - again, by chance, the local maintenance man was working and helped us. He took us to the villa and asked us for the code we had been provided for the key safe - it was wrong - but fortunately he knew the correct code and we were able to get the key and get access. However, had he not been there, we'd have been unable to access the villa and unable to contact the host. We chose the villa because it had a heated pool (and we were travelling with a young baby) and unfortunately there was a fault with the pool heater and the pool was unheated for the majority of our stay. It was replaced on our second last day and the pool was up to temp on our last day. The host had started discussing some sort of compensation with us before we checked out BUT as soon as we were gone, they just stopped responding, which was a real shame.

Pool could have cover to save heat over night.

No full lenght mirrors in any bedrooms. And needs a blind or privacy panel for bathroom windows because people from front door entrance can see straight into bathroom while showering.
