“The villa and owner that wrecked our entire holiday 😡”

Extremely disappointed with this villa and the owner. Travelling with a severely disabled child and carers we booked this place as it was described as having “4 bedrooms”. On arrival we quickly noticed there were only 2 bedrooms, and the property could not accommodate us. (Layout of the villa is merely 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen 🙈). The owner had shoved a single bed in the passage and a double sofa bed in the kitchen and tried to pass that off as extra bedrooms 🥴 there was no living area or other spaces which meant the kitchen was also the living area AND a makeshift bedroom squeezed into one. There was only one dining area which was outside, the villa suffered from a severe fly infestation so eating outside would have also been impossible. After speaking with the owner and explaining there had been some sort of a mistake, the owner asked us to leave straight away so we could get a refund and move to a different villa that could accommodate us with 4 bedrooms. Since then however, the owner has tried to dispute the refund, despite only spending 30 minutes at his villa, it being advertised wrongly, and him putting it in writing that “we must leave the Villa immediately to receive a refund. He is trying to keep the whole £1700 we spent on this villa. The bank have now had to get involved and take the money back as a “service paid for and not received”. Because of this deceiving villa owner we had to spend 6 hours on the side of the road in a foreign country with a disabled child (who had medical items which needed to be in a fridge) while we tried to sort out more money from home to book somewhere else(we are extremely lucky we had support back home to help or we would have been sleeping in the car and our child could have been hospitalised due to not having his refrigerated medical items.) This situation ruined our whole holiday, for the owner to then try and keep all our money is absolutely despicable.

I liked everything, from the key pick up, to owner being there to help in all aspects required. No trouble at all.pool was brilliant. Outside area great. Amenities all there and more. So peaceful and quiet.

Spotlessly clean, comfortable home. Perfect for a couple. Outdoor areas spacious and comfortable. Excellent host, nearby if needed but otherwise respected our privacy.

“If we had not had Covid and felt so I’ll I’m sure our stay would have been lovely.”

My wife and I contracted Covid on our second day in Fuerteventura. We were not well at all for the two weeks we were in Fuerteventura. As you can imagine it completely ruined our holiday. This of course was nothing at all to do with our host who was very kind to us.

There really was nothing to dislike.
