“Great apartment if the weather is good, but compact if the weather isn't great”

The location was fantastic, with a stunning sea view. The accommodation was compact, but the owners had tried to provide everything needed. The gentlemen who (eventually) greeted us was helpful and friendly. Great balcony to watch the beach and surfers from, with incredible sea and mountain views.

To be improved

We requested an arrival time of between 17h and 18h (the earliest available) when making the reservation, which was confirmed. We received a message at 12h33 on the day of arrival, asking what time we intended on arriving. We were driving, so didn't see the message until around 15h30, when we replied that the satnav said we would be there at 17h. We arrived at 17h and no-one was there to greet us. We waited for around 10 minutes and then sent a message asking where to collect the keys. We had no answer, so messaged Booking.com. who tried to contact the owner, also without success. The agent at Booking.com said that if the owner didn't get the keys to us within 30 minutes, we would be giving alternate accommodation. At around 17h55 a gentleman arrived and went into what we assumed was our apartment. We went to enquire and he confirmed it was. Despite the language barrier, he tried to be friendly and helpful, showing us what we needed and how things worked. A bit after that we received a message from the owner saying "Sorry I was working". We thought that was poor and after travelling around 6 hours from Valencia, was not the best start to the holiday.

“Good spot for a few days rest.”

Well equipped property, comfortable bed, great view of the sunset. Good sunny patio and lots of light in the house.

To be improved

Outside appearance is quite rundown, peeling paint and plasterwork. The property overlooks another multiple occupancy property which takes from the sea view.

The beach was fantastic...and apt was within walking distance. The views were stunning...Bakio itself was clean and inviting.

To be improved

Lack of evening meal food choices...really only 2 high end restaurants...

Spectacular view. Quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to town centre. Good mattresses and bedding. Small apartment with smart storage solutions and tasteful furnishings.

The bath is really tiny.
