“Sunny holiday in November in a good location with complete facilities.”

The best

The accommodation has an excellent location - everything is close by on foot. The excellent sandy beach is close to 400 m, around the corner 150 m is the Metropol bar with good prices. The accommodation has a parking space in the adjacent garage. The accommodation is part of an apartment building, which has its own swimming pool and is securely fenced. This creates privacy when sitting on the terrace. The equipment is complete, luxury appliances, dishes, basic cosmetics in the bathroom, there are also a chair and an umbrella for the beach. Everything is new and clean. The owners communicate with the help of a translator in any language. They will welcome you and see you off. And they will help with everything. El Portil is a very good town for a vacation, we fell in love with it.

“Excellent beach location, very comfortable small flat, extremely lovely hosts.”

The best

The location was excellent - a five minute walk to a beautiful golden sand beach, which in the second week of September was practically deserted, and the weather was lovely. Also, the flat is on the corner of the main square of El Portil, so barely a stroll to bars, restaurants and shops. El Portil is a very small place. A 10 minute drive away is El Rompido which has a wider choice of excellent restaurants, and also an excellent walk along boardwalks, and through woods which made a lovely evening excursion to watch the impressive sunset over the lagoons and sea - we highly recommend that! Soraya and Manuel were so amazingly friendly and extremely helpful - truly the best and kindest hosts we have ever encountered, and we have had many holidays with booking.com. Everything in the flat was really perfect - kitchen very well equipped, and all appliances new, and working perfectly. The bathroom and shower were great, and the bed comfortable.

To be improved

It was not at all clear on Booking.com that the pool is only open in July and August. When we booked Soraya did very kindly tell us that but, sadly, it was our own fault that we did not see the message :( So, we were surprised not to have access to the pool. However, the pool is fairly small, so even if you were going in July and August you might find it busy, but we can't verify that. We can say that there are miles and miles of golden sand beaches with dunes and lovely pine vegetation stretching in both directions from the flat so you will never find it hard to find a peaceful spot on a beach! :)
