Personally the location was not bad in terms of distance to the city center, but when we arrived we passed a square where the police stopped us and told us to be careful around there with our belongings. That scared us a bit, but the next few days we avoided the square and the surroundings and it was super safe!!

The host was unable to assist with anything. We asked for help with the shower due to the water not becoming cold, but scolding hot, and had to wait until the last day of our stay, to even get a response on text! I asked several times for the host to come by and help with the shower, but they just ignored it. We ended up being on a business trip and not showering for 4 Days. The apartment was sticky and stunk of strong chemicals, anyone with allergies would not be able to stay here. Any question posed to the host was either met with an automatic reply in Spanish or the host saying "try googling it". Honestly, just that approach is so completely off-putting, so I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. Location is pretty close to the centre but the area is a bit sketchy, I saw some people obviously on drugs and doing other shady things. There are better options to stay in Bilbao! And bring slippers because your feet will stick to the floor!

when getting there we couldn’t get the shower to work as the knob was broken and we couldn’t figure out how it worked, once the guy finally got back to us we managed to get it working by using the broken knob only for me to get out the shower and everything that I left on the floor to be soaked, the bathroom turned into a bath after a 2 minute shower, the shower was also hanging off the wall which left me worried incase we broke it. when getting there we noticed that there was 2 gas cans just sat in the living room not the biggest of issues but just not a good look to room, the first bedroom door handle was hanging off from the inside so decided it was safer to sleep in the other one, to save getting trapped if it fell off. the bathroom cupboard under the sink was hanging on and looked like it could of fell off at anytime. in the bedroom that we slept in the one of cupboard doors was missing and the light was also hanging off the ceiling and looked like it could of fell of at anytime. one of the main things was the use of the electric door that could only be opened through a online portal that could only be used when you had a connection to the internet, this was a pain as we couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to connect and my 4g wouldn’t get any service in the area of the two front doors which was a hassle to try and get in them, once you were inside there was no way of knowing if the door was properly locked as there was no instructions on how to use or why the door kept of beeping and sounding an alarm. I have photos for all the problems but will only let me upload one from each room.
