The best

Our host, Laura was excellent, very responsive and helpful. La Escribana is in a small, quiet hamlet with beautiful views from the house yet very conveniently located within easy reach by car of local amenities and so many exceptional places to visit. The information provided with suggested itineraries in the areas of Asturias and Cantabria was really useful. There are beautiful beaches and breathtaking mountain scenery, as well as many delightful towns and villages. Highlights were the visit to the mountain hamlet of Bulnes reached by funicular, the cable car ride from Fuente Dé to the mountains, 'Gaudi's Caprice' house in Comillas, the drive to and the town of Potes, the beaches near San Vicente and Playa de la Franca, the village of Bárcena Mayor.
