VLC Host - Serrans Gardens

When we arrived in Valencia, everything seemed fine at first. However, after the first night, our air conditioner started leaking heavily, and we woke up to a soaking wet floor. We contacted the host, who told us someone would come to fix it on Monday. Unfortunately, no one ever showed up, and we didn’t hear anything back. We were still allowed to use the AC, but the sofa bed — where our friend was sleeping — got wet. We had to empty several buckets because the water kept dripping. On top of that, the dishes and cutlery weren’t properly cleaned when we arrived, and the toilet seat in the bathroom was loose. Finally, and most disturbingly, we discovered that there were cockroaches in the studio. We had to kill a big one ourselves, which was really unpleasant and made it hard to sleep. Later, we found a dead cockroach under the sofa bed, and we saw several small ones walking around the apartment. Overall, we were quite disappointed with the condition of the place and the lack of response from the host.

We were very upset with this accomodation. In the first two days we've found three cockroaches. We've asked a solution for our next night. We've sprayed all the little holes around the appartment and in total we found more than 10 cockroaches!!! I swear to God! More than 10! It's disgusting! It should not be allowed to rent more then 100€ per night in this house! We didn't sleep, this situation ruined our vacations, and was the worst experience in my life! I regret every Euro I spent with this room. It should not be allowed to rent here on booking, a place in this higene/health situation. We have pictures oh all the cockroaches!! This situation is very Unfortunately. If you own the place and know that "it's normal" to have cockroaches is this time of the year you should warn every guest in advance. It's very unprofessional and shows a lack of empathy. I did complain and they said they will reach out after reporting this situation to an appropriate team... More than one month later... Still waiting

It is not an accommodation, it is an ex-garage or grocery store at street level turned into something to make money on the back of tourists. The pictures on the website are completely dishonest (see my pictures), the place is very dark, no real windows, fences that make you feel in prison, no proper ventilation (presence of mold on the wall behind the false green plant). If it was only this... But the place is invaded by cockroaches, i killed 8 in our 3 days stay. Really disgusting. The staff is not helping either, i reported all of this after the first night and requested to live immediately this unsane place, they replied to me that cockroaches are a common problem in Valencia (!) and for the pictures that i didn't look at the right ones on booking. The floor was dirty and the sofa had stained.

The pictures of the flat are very good, but the reality is quite disappointing. The apartment is very dark, there is no window and natural light. The apartman is on the ground floor, just a grid separates it from the street. We booked the apartmant for three, but the beds were prepared just for two. There were cockroaches in the room and we found them at home during our clothes as well. I don't recommend it to anyone.
