Vogue styled flat in the heart of Nueva Andalucía

The standard has not been maintained and the quality of the apartment decor and fit out is really lacking for the price charged The floors had not been properly cleaned when we arrived with juice spills on the floor, debris under the beds etc The kitchen was not well equipped. There was a knife block with no knives. The only useful knife was a small fruit knife. There were only 2 tumbler glasses in the cupboard, one of which was broken. There was 1 wine glass We tried to use the toaster twice on the first evening and each time, it blew the fuses so we couldn't use it for the duration. The drains in both bathrooms were almost fully blocked. When we first used the "wet room" outside the bath shower unit in the ensuite, it flooded the entire bathroom and almost into the bedroom When we looked further, it was clear that this was not a new issue as the bottom of the bathroom door was swollen and warped from previous water damage The shower unit in the main bathroom was not much better, it had a rim which helped but took a number of hours to drain. Perhaps most disappointingly of all, when we mentioned about the lack of glasses, lack of knives and unusable toaster we were told nothing could be done about it! We didn't even bother mentioning the drains but it's clear it's known about from the door damage and nothing would suggest anyone was going to do anything about it based on responses to our earlier requests for assistance. When we raised the point re the cleaning, we subsequently received a message that a second cleaning would take place in 2 days - it never happened. It has the potential to be a lovely apartment which is badly let down by these issues and the inability to address any points that had been made very respectfully and with no fuss, made unfortunately the whole experience feel like being a bit ripped off.
