The electronic key entry (via accessing a website or app) took a bit of getting used to, and on one occasion it didn’t work on the apartment door and we had to use the provided code - given in the error message on the website/app, and in advance by the manager.. The code apparently wasn’t working for the street and inner doors either one day, however. So a bit on tenterhooks as to whether we would succeed in getting in! Also on our third night there were crowds of people singing in the square all night. So bear this in mind…

The electronic key access is a little confusing, requires an app and can only be held by one person in your group. On request we were given an alternate key pad access which was easier but felt insecure. The apartment building opens directly into Puerto de Sol (fantastic location) people often sit or stand in the doorway at the gate, right next to the keypad. The gate opens slowly and has a delayed closure which cannot be forced and the inner door did not lock behind us. High opportunity for someone to sneak in. We frequently had to ask people to step away from the gate so we could get in or out.
