The check in was very confusing as it gave us a direction 20 min away to pick up the keys luckily we made it in to the building and met the cleaning lady so she gave us the key. I was trying to contact the owner for guidance but they didn’t pick up and after sending multiple messages they responded hours later (and then not even to my concerning message). So, to be honest, I still don’t know what would have happened if the cleaning lady wasn’t there because we were standing on the street with two small children and suitcases without any clarity. Also, one of the days the electricity went out and I was alone with the kids in the house. I couldn’t solve the issue and again tried to contact the owner without result… we had a lot of food in the fridge and I was almost out of battery and was waiting for hours to my partner came home to solve it with me. I really hope that the right person read this message because it was really not a pleasant experience. Neither of them! Every time I called the line was occupied. I don’t know if they just turn off phone calls or what was going on because we tried many times throughout our stay and it was always the same!

First off, the check in process was very confusing and bad. In order to get into the building and room, you have to use a website that requires internet. You cannot enter this place without a SIM card. Then the description of where the room is was confusing because it was half Spanish. When we messaged the guy, he didn’t respond to any of the chats, even though he said he preferred that instead of phone calls. So just to get in the room, we needed SIM with phone calls, which is ridiculous. He continued to have poor response time to all of my messages throughout the whole trip, usually taking 1.5+ hours to respond, such as one time where it was time sensitive. The website to unlock the door doesn’t even work when you’re at the door because you’re in the second basement and the WiFi doesn’t reach the front door, nor does 5G/LTE. There is only one physical key, so if you split up, good luck getting back in without the key. Everything in the place is falling apart. The doors are too heavy and hard to move. The faucets are broken and not attached to the cabinet. The second bathroom has nowhere to place a towel for the shower. The dishes and glassware were all dirty and we had to wash them, but the host only provided one dishwasher detergent pod. The refrigerator was locked to 10C, and even after unlocking it to 2C which is the minimum, it did not keep any of our food/drinks cold. There were ants everywhere. There is no air conditioning, which was really bad for 89F days where it’s too hot. He refused to provide laundry detergent even though every single place I’ve stayed at like this provides it. The layout of the bedrooms is VERY WEIRD - not meant for multiple couples. There is no hallway connecting the rooms, and there is no door on one of the rooms, so there was NO privacy. The TV is in one of the bedrooms, which is weird because everyone would have to sit on someone’s bed just to watch TV, it should be mounted in the living area.

Occasional damp odor, needed repairs - dangling recessed light fixture, loose faucet, peeling paint, uneven/ unmaintained floors, etc.
