We stayed here for a week in June, from Monday to Sunday. The host, Amador, was very welcoming and communicative. We exchanged several messages through Booking regarding the apartment and parking, and he met us in person to show us both, which we really appreciated (thanks also for the welcome beer in the fridge!). The loft is on the fourth floor of a nice building with an elevator, just a few minutes’ walk from Plaza de la Merced – a great location (supermarket very close and also an amazing tapas place, La Esquinita del Chupa y Tira). There are two lofts available, we stayed in the one facing the street, the one on the right. The underground parking is in a nearby building and was one of the main reasons we chose this place, along with the central location. We also appreciated the air conditioning, the strong water pressure in the shower and the fact that the tap water was filtered and drinkable.

To be improved

Being so central and street-facing comes with some noise, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when traffic continues until very late. You can also hear some noise from neighbors. The bed (160 cm) has a firm, spring mattress, so movements are noticeable if you’re sharing. In terms of cleanliness, it was generally fine, but not as spotless as we had expected based on previous reviews – for example, there was some dust on the plants, and walking in white socks indoors wasn’t ideal. It felt cleaned, but not thoroughly. Lastly, during our 6-night stay, there was no cleaning service, no change of towels or linens, and we needed to purchase toilet paper. While this may be expected for a private loft rental rather than a hotel, it would be helpful if this were clearly mentioned in the listing description on Booking.

“A perfect apartment to explore Malaga”

The best

Amador was a great host. He let us check in a little early, met us to talk us through the apartment and gave us some good food recommendations. The apartment was excellent, fully equipped, modern, bright, great AC and fan. The bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent. The balcony was great too. The location was fantastic - 10 mins to the old town and 10 mins to the port with supermarkets, bars and coffee shops right beside it.

“Great apartment, highly recommend”

The best

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is very well located, there are supermarkets very close by on either side. The manager Amador was very cheerful, helpful and friendly, and spent a lot of time helping us get our bearings and recommending places to visit and restaurants around. The room itself is very clean and all small things have been thought of and catered to . Added bonus is a good balcony to sit and enjoy your drink or coffee.

“Lovely place to land after long days exploring!”

Location was great with an outdoor patio to sit out and take in the action down below on the street! It was spacious as well. We didn’t cook this trip but it had a great mini kitchen set up!

To be improved

We had to meet the rental mgr to get in and there wasn’t any check out info on booking.com. It was easy, just take off sheets and leave keys, but having that info available without having to contact anyone would be appreciated. Also would suggest a bath mat for the very slippery shower floor. Small beans improvements for sure. Would recommend this spot for sure!!!!

“Lovely apartment in the centre”

The best

The host is very kind and gives all the necessary information. Location of the apartment is in a nice neighbourhood with nice cafes, bakery, grocery store and tapas bars, just 5 min walking from the centre. There is also parking included.
