Pool vibes were a little strange with hen parties and children. I feel it would have been a better atmosphere if no children were allowed. (We have kids ourselves but would not bring them to this type of hotel)

I loved my stay at Hotel Zel Mallorca! The location is unbeatable, just steps from the beach. The hotel has a stylish, modern vibe that feels fresh and inviting. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious with a great variety. A perfect spot to unwind and enjoy

While the hotel itself is lovely, I personally felt the staff could have been more attentive and guest-focused. Perhaps I’m comparing it to my experience at Castillo Son Vida, where the warmth and personal touch were exceptional. Still, overall a stylish and comfortable place to enjoy Mallorca. I enjoyed the style and setting, I’m not sure I’d return I missed the emotional connection that makes a hotel stay truly memorable.

I never write reviews – honestly, this is the first one I’ve ever written. But I couldn’t not say something after our experience at ZEL Hotel in Mallorca. This was hands down one of the worst hotels we’ve ever stayed in. We paid for a sea view room and were given a room that faced a bus stop. When we complained, they finally moved us, but not before reminding us repeatedly that the new room “usually costs an extra €800 a night” – as if we should be grateful for their mistake? If you gave us the room we paid for to begin with, we wouldn’t need to be thankful at all. They claim to be a “5-star luxury wellness hotel” – what a joke. This is a party hotel, loud and chaotic, with none of the calm or class of a 5 star resort. There’s no reception desk, just staff standing around acting like they’re doing you a favour and literally don’t even acknowledge you. Incredibly rude and dismissive? maybe because we weren’t happy from the start, but even still, totally unprofessional. Breakfast was a disaster every day. The fruit looked like it had been soaking in juice for a week, and everything felt stale and old. Honestly, if I owned this hotel, I’d be mortified. We ended up leaving the hotel for 3 nights even though we paid nearly $7,000 AUD for our stay. That’s how bad it was. We just couldn’t bear it anymore. Also, just a small note that says a lot: want water brought to your room? You’ll have to pay for it. At a so-called luxury hotel? Ridiculous. To whoever is in charge: your internal standards clearly aren’t working, and judging by other reviews, we’re not the only ones who think so. This place should not be classified as 5-star, and it’s insulting to guests to pretend otherwise. Avoid this hotel – spend your hard-earned money somewhere that actually values guests and delivers on its promises
